Why Satan Hates the Bible
Genesis 3:1-5
Â
Satan hates God's Word because of:
Â
I. Its Author
1 Thessalonians 2:13Â For this cause also thank we God without ceasing, because, when ye received the word of God which ye heard of us, ye received it not as the word of men, but as it is in truth, the word of God, which effectually worketh also in you that believe.
2 Timothy 3:16Â All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:
2 Peter 1:21Â For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost.
Â
II. Its Authority
2 Timothy 2:9Â Wherein I suffer trouble, as an evil doer, even unto bonds; but the word of God is not bound.
1 Peter 1:23Â Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God, which liveth and abideth for ever.
Luke 21:33Â Heaven and earth shall pass away: but my words shall not pass away.
Â
              A. Satan Dismisses the Authority of the Word of God
Genesis 3:1Â Now the serpent was more subtil than any beast of the field which the LORD God had made. And he said unto the woman, Yea, hath God said, Ye shall not eat of every tree of the garden?
              B. Satan Denies the Authority of the Word of God
Genesis 3:4Â And the serpent said unto the woman, Ye shall not surely die:
Â
              C. Satan Distorts the Authority of the Word of God
Genesis 3:5 For God doth know that in the day ye eat thereof, then your eyes shall be opened, and ye shall be as gods, knowing good and evil.
Â
III. Its Authorization
              A. It Authorizes us to Pray
Hebrews 4:16 Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.
Â
              B. It Authorizes us to Praise
Psalms 33:1Â Rejoice in the LORD, O ye righteous: for praise is comely for the upright.
Â
              C. It Authorizes us to Preach
2Â Timothy 4:2Â Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all longsuffering and doctrine.
Â
              D. It Authorizes us to Protest
2 Thessalonians 2:15Â Therefore, brethren, stand fast, and hold the traditions which ye have been taught, whether by word, or our epistle.
Â
              E. It Authorizes us to Propagate
Acts 1:8Â But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.
